Pakaya Initiative is a youth-led and youth-focused organization based in Mzuzu City, Malawi, dedicated to empowering communities through the strategic application of digital technology for sustainable development. Established in March 2022 and legally registered in 2024, the Initiative implements innovative, technology-driven interventions in education, climate change, economic empowerment, and health and wellness.

Pakaya Initiative leverages digital tools to enhance access to information, build skills, and strengthen community awareness, enabling individuals and groups to make informed decisions and improve their socio-economic wellbeing. Our programs are designed to be inclusive and scalable, with a strong focus on youth, women, and marginalized populations who are often excluded from digital opportunities.

Operating across Malawi, Pakaya Initiative partners with government institutions, civil society organizations, the private sector, and development partners to bridge the digital divide and deliver measurable, community-driven impact. Through evidence-based approaches and local leadership, the Initiative contributes to resilient communities and long-term, sustainable development outcomes aligned with national and global development priorities.
